Product Usage Instructions
1. Installation
The ECOMAXI VB heat pump storage water heater is suitable for both wall-mounted and floor-standing installations. Follow the below instructions for installation:
- Ensure that the installation area has the minimum clearances specified in the manual.
- Select an appropriate location for the water heater, considering factors such as accessibility, ventilation, and proximity to water and electrical connections.
- If wall-mounted, use suitable brackets and fixings to securely mount the water heater on the wall.
- If floor-standing, place the water heater on a stable and level surface.
- Connect the hydraulic connections according to the provided dimensions and specifications.
- If using in combination with solar panels, ensure that the S version with an auxiliary coil and electronic control is chosen.
2. Operation
The ECOMAXI VB heat pump storage water heater operates silently and can be controlled through the control panel or remotely via a Wi-Fi connection and remote control app. Follow the below instructions for operation:
- Ensure that the power supply is connected and the water heater is properly installed.
- If using the E-Anode feature, enable or disable it through the control panel as desired.
- If using the Wi-Fi feature, enable or disable it through the control panel as desired. Connect the water heater to your household network and download the remote control app on your mobile device.
- Use the control panel or the remote control app to adjust the main operating parameters of the water heater, such as temperature settings and operating modes (heat pump, automatic, boost).
Silent operation
The appliances in this series produce domestic hot water using heat pump technology. A heat pump transfers thermal energy from a source at a lower temperature to a utility at a higher temperature and vice versa.
The equipment uses a refrigerant circuit consisting of a compressor, evaporator, condenser and a lamination valve; a refrigerant fluid/gas flows through the circuit. Available in 2 wall-mounted models of 80 and 120 litres and 3 floor-standing models of 200 to 300 litres. The S version is supplied with an auxiliary coil and electronic control for use in combination with solar panels. This appliance is designed for household or small business use and complies with the following European directives: Directive EN 60335-2 Household and similar electrical appliances safety; Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive 2014/30/EU; Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (LVD).

MINIMUM CLEARANCES FOR INSTALLATION
MAIN FEATURES
- Anti-legionella
To prevent bacteria from multiplying in the water in the tank. If the water temperature does not reach 70°C in a certain interval (168 hours), it is heated to 70°C once.
Note: The anti-legionella feature can be enabled or disabled on the control panel. - Anti-freeze
When the heat pump is in standby mode and an ambient temperature ≤5°C is detected, the heat pump automatically heats up to keep the water in the tank between 20°C and 28°C.
Note: the anti-freeze feature can be enabled or disabled on the control panel. - Photovoltaic
When the digital input is activated, the heat pump heats the water up to 65°C.
Note: the photovoltaic feature can be enabled or disabled on the control panel. - Solar pump circulation
The solar pump is started when the solar collector temperature ≥30°C and the solar collector temperature ≥tank water tem-perature +7°C.
The solar pump is stopped when the solar collector temperature is below 30°C, the solar collector temperature is ≥ 120°C, or the solar collector temperature is ≤ tank water temperature +4°C.
Note: the solar pump circulation feature can be switched enabled or disabled on the control panel. - E-Anode
The appliance is equipped as standard with a double anode, i.e. an electronic anode with E-Anode feature with replaceable anti-corrosion magnesium anode.
Note: the E-Anode feature can be enabled or disabled on the control panel. - Wi-Fi connection and remote control APP
The appliance comes with Wi-Fi connectivity as standard, allowing it to be connected to the household network and remotely controlled via an APP for its main operating parameters.

WIRING DIAGRAM
The water heater is supplied pre-wired for mains power. This is powered via a flex cable and a socket/plug combination. A separately earthed and protected Schuko socket is required for connection to the mains. Refer to the wiring diagram on the inside of the electrical box cover.

HEAT OUTPUT/COP
This illustrates the heat output transferred to the water instantaneously from the heat pump to the storage tank as the outside temperature changes. The air temperature refers to the dry bulb value while the wet bulb temperature is in accordance with the relationship in EN 14511-4:2018. The curves represent differing outlet water temperatures (45/55/65°C) and a single inlet temperature (15°C)
