ULTRA DRAINGUARD
Contents
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
The Ultra-Drain Guard is engineered to filter stormwater waste before it becomes a problem in the water system. As a storm drain filter, it removes contaminants like litter, sand, and oil from stormwater flow. It’s geotextile fabric and easy installation makes it ideal for industrial facilities, construction sites, and parking lots where stormwater runoff is likely to carry oil, eroded soil, debris, and fuel contaminants from cars.
- Remove grate and hold Drain Guard in place over catch pit.

- Replace grate on top of the Drain Guard skirt.
The weight of the grate will hold the Drain Guard in place.

- For grates with side cut, always insert the cell foam rods (supplied) between the grate and the skirt. Trim excess off the skirt (optional).

REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS:
The Ultra-Drain Guard filters are designed to be used for 3 to 6 months under normal conditions. Where heavy contamination is present the unit will have a reduced life expectancy. When the unit has collected about 6 inches of sediment it is recommended that it be replaced. The unit should also be replaced if free oil can be seen floating and is not being absorbed. The Ultra-Drain Guards should be inspected on a regular basis.
- Reach below the grate with a grate hook and pull out the “change out straps”. Insert a pipe through the straps to attach Drain Guard to the grate.

- Remove grate and Drain Guard with the Grate Lifter (U9234) see below. Standard Grate hooks can be used as well for smaller grates.

- For grates with side cut, always insert the cell foam rods (supplied) between the grate and the skirt. Trim excess off the skirt (optional).
