Before charging, confirm the charger is working and is the correct charger for your battery.

  • Charger and Battery Voltage must match o 12v battery: 12v charger
  • The chargers output current should only be 10% of the battery’s rated Ah capacity
  • ex: 40Ah battery will only need a 4Ah charger
  • Never exceed max charge rate listed on battery
Before storing and immediately after each use, fully charge the battery to prevent sulfation.

  • Do not let battery sit in discharged state

Note, battery should be fully charged before first use

  • Keep terminals clean and tight
  • Sealed Lead Acid Batteries are maintenance free. Never attempt to remove the top cover or add fluid. Removing the top cover will damage your battery and void your warranty.
  • Applies to SLA / AGM / VRLA / GEL batteries
Battery. Usage: depth of discharge will impact life span of battery (30% or 50% Depth of Discharge will prolong the lifespan of the battery vs. continual 100% Depth of Discharge use.)

  • Don’t allow your stored battery to fall below 6.25 Volts/ 12.5 Volts respectively. To help assure of this. perform a top charge on stored batteries every 3-6 months.
