Included in the package
- Ground sensor with 15 m cable
- Manual
- Wooden block 125x125x50 mm
Installation
Ground sensor installation
The location of the sensor is important for achieving correct and effective control of the snow melting system. The ground sensor is installed within a heated zone, but not under a roof. The exact position of the sensor is dependent on the system’s design and location.
The ground sensor’s upper surface must be even with the ground surface. NOTE: The ground sensor may never be above the ground surface.
The provided wooden block is positioned in the ground where the sensor is to be installed. A length of metal conduit (ø16 mm) is run to the wooden block for the connection cable. The metal conduit is temporarily sealed. Once the surface is covered with asphalt, concrete or similar material, the wooden block is removed and the sensor installed. The space between the sensor and surface covering is filled cement grout or similar material. The maximum permitted temperature for the fill is +80 °C.

Delay +HEATING
The delay can be set to ensure that the entire installation is free of snow and ice before the thermostat is switched off. When the moisture sensor no longer detects moisture, the thermostat will remain active for the set time, before it switches off. The need for delay varies depending on the installation and the location of the sensor.
A delay of up to four hours can be set, in intervals of 30 minutes. The factory setting is zero.
