Product Usage Instructions

1. The installation and operation of this luminaire should comply with national safety regulations. Only a qualified electrician should perform the installation and commissioning.
2. The manufacturer will not be liable for any damage caused by improper use or installation.
3. If modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications will be considered the manufacturer.
4. The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. For additional protection, separate overvoltage protection components are recommended.
5. To install the luminaire, follow these steps:
  - Cover the recessed opening with the installation ring.
  - Secure the luminaire using 2 adjustable claws.
  - Avoid touching the LEDs directly during installation or relamping.
6. To remove the glass with reflector from the luminaire housing, turn it counter-clockwise.
7. The electrical connection should be made on-site using the appropriate safety class on the LED power supply unit connecting cable.
8. Use a distribution box and ensure the correct assignment of the connecting cable.
9. Establish the mains connection on the brown (L) and blue (N) wires.
10. Push the external LED power supply unit and luminaire housing into the ceiling cut-out.
11. Tighten the screws of the claw fasteners evenly by hand.
12. Insert the glass with the mounted reflector by turning it clockwise into the luminaire housing. Ensure that the gasket is positioned correctly.
13. Mount the magnetic ceiling frame ring onto the installation ring of the housing.

Installation

The recessed opening will be covered by the attachement of the installation ring.
Fixing of the luminaire is achieved by using 2 adjustable claws.
LEDs are high-quality electronic components!
Please avoid touching them directly during installation or relamping.

Installation into false ceilings

A recessed opening of Ø 95 mm is necessary to accept the luminaire housing. Free space depth min. 60 mm.
The claws catch the panel from the reverse side.
If minimum thickness of the panel is less than 3 mm it must be reinforced from the reverse side.
Maximum thickness of the panel must be no more than 20 mm.
The notch in the installation ring indicates the direction of maximum pivoting range (35°) of the luminaire housing.
Remove glass with reflector from luminairehousing by turning counter-clockwise.
The electrical connection must be made on site in the appropriate safety class on the LED power supply unit connecting cable. A distribution box must be used.
Ensure the correct assignment of the connecting cable. Establish the mains connection on the brown (L) and blue (N) wires.
Push external LED-power supply unit and luminaire housing into ceiling cut-out.
Hand-tight screws of claw fasteners evenly.
Insert glass with mounted reflector by turning it clockwise into luminaire housing.
Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly.
Mount ceiling frame ring (magnetic) onto installation ring of the housing.

Maintenance

Cleaning /Maintenance

Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.
Defective glass must be replaced.

Replacement of the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to thoseof the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
Disconnect from main supply.
Remove glass with reflector from housing by turning it counter-clockwise.
Pull ceiling frame ring off the installation ring of the pivoting housing.
Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
Check gasket. Screw in glass with mounted reflector by turning it clockwise into luminaire housing.
Mount ceiling frame ring onto installation ring of the housing.
Defective glass must be replaced.
