Product Usage Instructions
Before using the product, it needs to be installed and mounted on a wall using the appropriate tools and following the installation sequence provided in the manual. The product should only be installed by qualified personnel or individuals authorized by the manufacturer.
The product can be used to control water flow and temperature in a shower system with up to five consumers, including a head shower, hand shower, and side shower. To use the product, follow these steps:
- Connect the water supply to the cold and hot water inlets of the product.
- Turn on the water supply and adjust the pressure to the recommended range of 0.1 – 0.5 MPa.
- Select the desired consumer(s) by pressing the corresponding button(s) on the device.
- Adjust the water temperature by turning the temperature knob to the desired level.

Note: Read the operating instructions before you begin the installation. They contain information regarding the safe and proper installation.
Installation
- All work on the RainBrain may only be carried out in a de-energized state!
- All components must remain accessible.
- Wear safety clothes during the installation.
Risk of fire – installation box
- There must not be any flammable materials present in the immediate vicinity.
- The ambient temperature must not exceed 50 °C.
- The terminal block must be installed in protection area 2.
- When calculating the accumulator size and the drain, you must consider that up to 42.5 liters/min may be required for 0.3 MPa mixing water – depending on which showers will be combined.

Note: The terminal block must be installed horizontally (Hansgrohe scribe must be legible). Supply lines from below.
Electrical fitter
All installation and inspection procedures must be carried out by an approved electrician and in accordance with VDE 0100 Part 701 and IEC 60364-7-701.
Electrical connection
Mains supply 230V/N/PE/50Hz (3×1.5mm² length 0.5m). For electrical installation, all applicable VDE, country-specifi c, and EVU regulations in their respective valid versions must be observed. Potential equalization is required at the site (4mm², cable length 1m).
Leakage current protection device
The fusing must be conducted via a leakage current protection device (RCD/FI) with a measuringdiff essential power of 30 mA.

Fasteners
- Only use the proper fasteners! The included screws and dowels are only suitable for concrete.

Drain capacity
The draining capacity must be at least 50 l/min.
Installation of the basic set display
- Plaster in the basic set display, or install a wall covering if installed in front of the wall.
- After the plastered wall surface has dried, spray the seam between the wall and the plastic casing with silicone (free of acetic acid!).
- Coat the wall with PCI-Lastogum or a comparable sealing compound as instructed by the manufacturer.
- Place the sealing collar over the plastic casing and press it into the glue and the silicone.
- The sealing sleeve (F page 24) must not be heat-sealed
Repair
- Only by Hansgrohe qualified personnel or persons or companies designated by Hansgrohe.
