There are a few key considerations when selecting a wheelchair:
Type
There are two main types of wheelchairs, each catering to different needs: transit and self-propelled wheelchairs.
Transit wheelchairs, also known as attendant propelled wheelchairs, are generally lighter in weight, have smaller rear wheels and designed to be pushed from behind.
Self-Propelled wheelchairs give users the option to push themselves or be pushed by an attendant.
Style
