THON 2U Studio Desktop
Product Information:
The Thon Studio Desktop 2U, 3U, 4U, 5U, 6U, 7U, 8U Studio Rack is a versatile rack system designed for studio use. It comes with various sizes ranging from 2U to 8U, allowing you to choose the appropriate size for your equipment. The rack is made of durable
materials and features sturdy construction to securely hold your audio equipment.

- Be cautious of sharp edges on tools, screws, and components to prevent injury to hands when assembling and screwing the individual parts.
- Never let children play unattended with the product.
Scope of Delivery:
The Thon Studio Desktop 2U, 3U, 4U, 5U, 6U, 7U, 8U Studio Rack comes with all the necessary components for assembly.
Installation Instructions:
- Place all components on a suitable mounting surface and use soft padding to prevent damage to the surfaces.
- Refer to the provided figure for an overview of the positioning of the individual components.
- Insert the connecting bolts into the drill holes. The bolts will sit loosely until the connector housings on the associated component are tightened.
- Position all connector housings so that the connecting bolts can be completely sunk into the holes and the arrow position of the connector housings points towards the hole.
- First, place the floor and cover panel on the respective connecting bolts of a side panel and tighten the connector housings of the floor and cover panel clockwise to lock the connection with the connecting bolts.
- Place the second side panel on the pre-assembled unit consisting of the side panel, floor, and cover panel. Tighten the connector housings of the floor and cover panels clockwise to lock the connection with the inserted bolts.
- Check all connections for a tight fit.
Mounting Instructions:
- To mount the felt slides, rotate the assembled rack with the floor panel facing up. Screw the four felt slides with the supplied countersunk screws in the markings provided.
- To mount the rack rails, screw them on the inside in parallel to the front edge of the rack using the supplied wood screws. It is recommended to maintain a distance of approximately 1 cm from the front edge. The installation depth can range from 0 to 55 mm.

When assembling and screwing the individual parts, pay attention to sharp edges on tools, screws and components.
Scope of delivery
Before you assemble your rack, make sure the content of package is complete according to the following list.
- 2 × side panel, 19 mm melamine-coated furniture board
- 1 × floor plate, 19 mm melamine-coated furniture panel
- 1 × cover plate, 19 mm melamine-coated furniture panel
- 8 × connector housing
- 8 × connector bolts
- countersunk screws
- wood screws
- 2 × rack rails, stepless, equipped with nuts and rubber piping
- 4 × felt slides
- 1 × Allen key
- 1 × assembly instructions
Installation
Place all components on a suitable mounting surface for mounting. Use a soft padding to prevent damage to the surfaces.

Preparing the components
Insert the connector housing and the connecting bolts into the holes provided in the floor panel (4 × connector housing), the cover panel (4 × connector housing) and in the side panels (4 × connecting bolts each).
After insertion, the connecting bolts sit loosely in the drill holes and only spread apart when the connector housings on the associated component are tightened.

- Position all connector housings so that the respective connecting bolts can be completely sunk into the holes and the arrow position of the connector housings points towards the hole.
- First place the floor and cover panel on the respective connecting bolts of a side panel and tighten the connector housings of the floor and cover panel clockwise to lock the connection with the connecting bolts used.
- Place the second side panel on the pre-assembled unit consisting of the side panel, floor and cover panel. Tighten the con‐nector housings of the floor and cover panels clockwise to lock the connection with the inserted bolts.
- Check all connections for tight fit.
Mounting the felt slides

- Rotate the assembled rack with the floor panel facing up.
- Screw the four felt slides with the supplied countersunk screws in the markings provided.
Mounting rack rails
Screw the rack rails with the help of the supplied wood screws on the inside in parallel to the front edge in the rack. We recommend a distance of approx. 1 cm from the front edge.
Installation depth: 0 … 55 mm.
